Here is the extra cost per home from Eby/NDP “School Tax” which is going to go instead to General Revenue, NOT to Schools in any shape or form. 

$4M - Eby/NDP extra tax = $2,000
$5M - Eby/NDP extra tax = $6,000
$6M - Eby/NDP extra tax = $10,000
$7M - Eby/NDP extra tax = $14,000
$8M - Eby/NDP extra tax = $18,000
$9M - Eby/NDP extra tax = $22,000
$10M - Eby/NDP extra tax = $26,000

This is on top of your city taxes!

Attention Renters:  Here is how much more YOU will pay per month: 

$4M home tax to renters - $167/month
$5M home tax to renters - $500/month
$6M home tax to renters - $834/month
$7M home tax to renters - $1167/month
$8M home tax to renters - $1500/month
$9M home tax to renters - $1834/month
$10M home tax to renters - $2167/month
 

  Looks like people will not be able to rent in areas with these homes.  Therefore, the rental pool will decrease.

AND.....the renters and university students  are being counselled by UBC Prof Paul Kershaw at UBC who thinks all homes over $1M should be included.
